EIC REPORTS
An Electrical Installation Condition Report, or EICR, is a formal document produced by an experienced qualified electrician following an assessment of the electrical installation within a property.
EICR's are an inexpensive and simple way to provide peace of mind that your home is electrically safe and also gives the opportunity to pick up on any potential electrical problems which could be costly, and more serious, in the long term.
In domestic homes, an EICR is recommended every 10 years to ensure all electrical systems are in good working condition with no signs of deterioration. EICR's are also often requested in rental properties as they are the most efficient way of proving an electrical installation is safe.
For an EICR to work most effectively, we recommend having an EICR at the recommended intervals as described by the 18th edition wiring regs and to always have the work carried out as recommended for the property to remain electrically safe.
